Mubarak Mandi Complex
The oldest buildings in this palace complex date to 1824.The architecture is blend of Rajesthani, Mughal and Baroque European influences. The most stunning segment is the Sheel Mahal. This complex which is presently housing over 76 government offices and courts stands as a valuable monument associated with Dogra monarchy. The complex has a history as old as 150 years. It was a royal residence of Dogra rulers. The location of these places was carefully for having a commanding view of the river Tawi on one side and the old city built on the hillock, on the other.
The complex has halls and galleries which were used for official functions and public events. The palaces are built as a group of buildings around the courtyard. Successive Dogra rulers kept on consolidating their influence over the region and the state, and these buildings were used as Royal residence.

Mubarak Mandi needs to be considered as a heritage, though Jammu festival is a good initiative but its little and a bit too late.
Use as Government offices is fast eroding this fine piece of architecture, offices should be immediately moved out and restoration work started.
I think even body like Mata Vaishno Devi shrine board would take pride to sponsor restoration works.

कितनी बार लेख में इन्होने ख़ुद ही कहा है ....बम विस्फोट के लिए चाहे जो भी जिम्मेदार हो..... जो भी आतंकवादी घटनाओं को अंजाम दे रहा हो इस बात में तो कोई संदेह नहीं है कि सांप्रदायिक आधार पर मतों का जो ध्रुवीकरण हो रहा है ..... बिल्कुल सही, लगता है भाजपा ने इस बार यह काम इन्हे ही सौंप दिया है कि आप उगलो आग हिंदुयों के ख़िलाफ़ और हिंदू और ज्यादा मजबूती से हमे वोट दे ....
माना, हिंदू जिम्मेदार है आतंकी घटनाओं का, पर ऐसे तो इल्जाम लगाना तो नफरत और बढ़ाएगा, बात कुछ हज़म नही होती कि विदेशियों ने कोई साजिश रची ही नही इस देश में नफरत फैलाने कि इनके हिसाब से तो दुनियाभर में आतंकी गतिविधियाँ हिंदुस्तान के हिंदू कर रहे हैं .... ऐसे लोगो कि खालिश कल्पनाओं से न केवल हिंदुयों को बचना होगा बल्कि मुसलमानों को तो इनके खैरात कि दरियादिली से बिल्कुल ही किनारा कर लेना पड़ेगा .....
